Dog Daycare Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking dependable, energetic, and compassionate Attendants to join our growing team. This position is essential to the daily success of our daycare, boarding, and park operations. You will spend your day caring for dogs, supervising safe group play, maintaining a clean facility, and providing outstanding customer service.

The ideal candidate loves dogs of every breed and size, works well in a fast-paced environment, enjoys teamwork, is dependable and understands that safety and cleanliness are always top priorities.

This position reports directly to the Manager and Owner.

Duties

• Supervise dogs during daycare, boarding, and park activities to ensure a safe and positive environment.
• Monitor dog behavior and recognize signs of stress, fear, overstimulation, or aggression.
• Safely intervene and separate dogs when necessary to prevent conflicts.
• Monitor eating, drinking, urination, and bowel movements and report any concerns immediately.
• Report illnesses, injuries, behavioral concerns, or incidents to management.
• Keep accurate notes in each dog's records for communication with staff.
• Work closely with fellow team members to ensure all services exceed customer expectations.
• Deliver friendly, professional customer service in person, over the phone, and through social media.
• Post daily photos and updates on social media and respond to messages or comments when appropriate.
• Maintain clean water bowls and provide fresh water throughout the day.
• Clean and sanitize all daycare rooms, boarding suites, outdoor yards, park areas, dining areas, bathrooms, and common spaces daily.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, food, and medical supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Assist with daily operations across departments as needed, including daycare, boarding, park, grooming support, and general facility operations.
• Identify and report safety hazards immediately.
• Suggest ideas to improve operations, efficiency, customer satisfaction, and workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with dogs of all breeds and sizes (3 to 150 pounds)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, Facebook, and Instagram
• Comfortable handling multiple dogs in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable
• Punctual
• Flexible with scheduling needs

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Stand and walk for 8 hours per shift
• Frequently bend, squat, kneel, and move quickly
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Perform moderate to occasionally strenuous physical activity
• Available to work weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as business needs require
