Who We Are

Established in 1994 through a partnership with Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS), Lad Lake Synergy School provides a comprehensive educational program for high school students who have been placed on Behavioral Reassignment or expelled through an MPS Central Services hearing. Our school provides students with the opportunity to continue their education, earn a high school diploma, and develop the academic, social, and emotional skills needed for success beyond graduation.

At Lad Lake, we believe every young person has the ability to learn, grow, and reach their potential when surrounded by caring adults who believe in them. Our educators create safe, structured, and engaging learning environments where students build confidence, strengthen their skills, and discover their ability to succeed.

We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and mission-driven High School English Language Arts Teacher who is passionate about helping students overcome barriers, develop their voice, and achieve their goals. If you believe relationships are the foundation of learning and are energized by making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people, we invite you to join our team.

  • Support students in developing emotional regulation, problem-solving skills, self-advocacy, and other life skills that contribute to long-term success.
  • Collaborate with families, special education staff, therapists, administrators, and other support team members to support student achievement.
  • Monitor student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and adjust instruction to promote academic growth.
  • Maintain accurate lesson plans, student records, and required documentation.
  • Protect the privacy, safety, and dignity of every student by following confidentiality practices and organizational policies.
