Associate Sales Representative
Location: Columbia Basin Service Area with office locations in either Pasco or Moses Lake, WA

Lad is the leading turn-key irrigation service provider in the Northwest that began in 1957 with three employees installing and serving agricultural systems in the Moses Lake region. Now Lad has nine stores spanning eastern Washington and one in Colorado. Our strong team of over 100 employees provides full-service irrigation solutions customized to our customers’ needs. Our team is comprised of certified irrigation engineers and plumbers, electrical licensed staff, and crews trained on the specialized needs of crop irrigation.
Associate Sales Rep Summary
The Associate Sales Rep is an entry-level sales development position designed to prepare individuals for a successful career in irrigation sales and account management. This role supports a Senior Sales Representative by assisting with customer relationships, project coordination, estimating, communication, and administrative responsibilities while developing the technical knowledge and sales skills required to independently manage customer accounts. The Associate Sales Representative is expected to complete a structured development program over approximately 18-24 months before progressing into a Sales Representative role.
Pay: $25-30/hr depending on experience and completion of school years.
Primary Responsibilities
- Calling growers and introducing Lad and Valley Irrigation solutions
- Setting and attending customer meetings
- Helping to prepare and follow up on quotes
- Answering customer questions and documenting conversations
- Research potential projects, prepare proposals, and track opportunities
- Working with sales rep on irrigation layouts and field GPS mapping
- Coordinate internal communication with other Lad departments
- Supporting customer events and outreach as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience
- Mechanical aptitude and an interest in agriculture and irrigation
- Driving: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Work Ethic: Willing to work hard, learn, and help where needed
- People Skills: Comfortable talking to customers and making phone calls
- Physical Work: Able to be on your feet for long periods, lift up to 30 lbs, bend and reach, and work outside in summer heat (100°F )
- Safety: Pays attention around equipment, vehicles, and job sites
