Key Responsibilities For This Position Include
- Maintains QA objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
- Oversees insect and rodent prevention programs and follow up with plant sanitation.
- Informs all essential personnel on new/changing regulations related to the Quality Control function within responsibility.
- Cooperates with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.
- Demonstrates professionalism in all aspects of plant’s rules and regulations and encourages quality personnel performance.
- Identifies strengths and/or weaknesses of the employees and demonstrates the ability to train and coach to strengthen weaknesses and utilize strengths.
- Performs administrative managerial duties in an accurate, timely, and professional manner (phone calls, voicemail, paperwork, meetings).
- Works to facilitate the exchange of data between various departments and QA employees to ensure quality compliance is met.
- Maintains open communication with all employees and managers; actively seeks ways to improve employee relations.
- Performs daily, weekly, and monthly observations and submits written monthly plant inspections with conditions needing improvement to plant management.
- Communicates results to production, packaging, and managers when discrepancies arise and offers solutions.

Qualified Applicants Will Contribute The Following
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food, Dairy, or Natural Science from a four-year college/university preferred.
- 2-3 years’ experience in both Quality Control and Quality Assurance.
- 2 Years Management.
- Microsoft Office Proficient; Work, Excel, Outlook
- ISO quality management systems.
- HACCP
- Statistical process regarding regulatory agencies, i.e., USDA, FDA, etc.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to work well with others.
