Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead our Stonyfield Organic Brand Marketing Team. The Stonyfield Organic Brand Director leads our internal marketing team in delivering against annual business plans, commercial strategies, key initiatives, and portfolio objectives. This individual will work closely with our leadership team and define strategies for growth and innovation. The ideal candidate is a solutions-oriented, forward-thinking innovator who has experience leading marketing teams and developing talent.
Key Accountabilities
- A skilled storyteller who brings an audience-focused, modern approach to building marketing strategies, campaigns and programs that create results at scale.
- Lead marketing strategic brand positioning, planning, coordination, and execution.
- Handle agency relationships by guiding campaigns, creative, and media buy.
- Lead paid media strategy, ensuring proper segmentation and channel placement.
- Digital savvy; strong understanding how today’s complex consumer engagement landscape works at scale across traditional media through eRetail to drive conversion
- Manage product portfolio and proactively identify key levers to positively impact P&L. Adjust strategy as necessary to achieve revenue, volume, and margin targets.
- Partner cross-functionally in the development and execution of innovation from ideation through launch, including claims development, design,
- Provide leadership, direction and mentoring to the marketing team.
- Oversee internal resources and external agencies tasked with creating effective content for PR, digital/social content, trade shows and sales support.
- Work in close partnership with Sales to identify market gaps and growth opportunities.
- Develop exceptional cross functional relationships to ensure overall commitment to portfolio.
- Available for travel (15%)
Requirements
- 10 years of consumer goods brand marketing experience at a CPG company with $1B in U.S. revenue
- Advertising Development, Brand Positioning, and new Product innovation experience
- Personal passion to be a part of a mission-led company
- Experience working in a Founder led organization a plus
- Experience managing P&L
- Management / people development experience
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a balance of intuition and analytical skills.
- Experience leading creative non-traditional, grass roots and fully digital marketing programs is preferable.
- Proven track record of developing teams and leading through difficult situations with poise and optimism
- Strategic influencing abilities & proven leadership capability; ability to inspire.
- Strong business acumen and ability to sell-in ideas to Executive Management team.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Consumer marketing experience with a food or natural products company is a plus.
- Experience in a global matrixed organization is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required and MBA preferred.
