From your PASSION to ours:
As a Whey Sanitation, the role will carry out responsibilities such as, but not limited to, managing the flow of liquid product. The role includes work in all aspects of whey sanitation including, but not limited to; Whey RO, Whey Cream Pasteurizer and Separator processes, whey silo management, CIP’s, transfers, etc., and loadouts for condensed, salty whey, raw whey, whey cream, acid whey and EBMUD. Additionally, the Whey Sanitation will collaborate with other team members, the team supervisor and department manager to align duties with the company's goals and values.
From your EXPERTISE to ours:
- Demonstrate flexibility to work in all aspects of whey sanitation, including but not limited to: Whey RO, Whey Cream Pasteurizer and Separator processes, whey silo management, CIP’s, transfers, etc., loadouts for condensed, salty whey, raw whey, whey cream, acid whey, and EBMUD. Manage the flow through of liquid product.
- Crosstrain in evaporator occupation supports the team’s cross-training plan.
- Track and maintain quality/ccp documentation, daily and master sanitation of work area.
- Provide coverage so that team members can attend meetings, cross-train, and work on projects.
- Assist with sanitation, downtime, TPM and other production needs, including emergency situation.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Communicate and pass down business information.
- Participate in post-failure analysis activities, including root cause determination and corrective action.
- Actively identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with equipment troubleshooting and support maintenance when needed.
- Accountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) standards as outlined in the plant’s QRMP document, including the implementation, improvement, and ongoing maintenance.
- Comply with all policies and procedures as related to the LHD Management System.
- Complete other assignments as directed.
Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:
- Must work in a safe, sanitary and productive manner in accordance to LHD GMP’s.
- Ability to obtain a Pasteurizer’s License is required.
- High School Diploma is preferred.
- 2 Years of Manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Specialized training or licenses relevant to job.
- Good business participation (eg. Shift Hand Off Meeting, Level 1 Meeting, Safety, Process Improvement).
Certifications and specific knowledge
- Ability to obtain a Pasteurizer’s License is required.
Hours: Follows Team Schedule, 12-hour shifts rotating
