Yard Driver
Job Schedule: 12hr shifts, Rotating schedule (Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun, Mon)
- Day Shift: 6AM-6PM
Pay Rate: Paid weekly (every Friday)
- $17.50/hr
Job Duties:
- Safely operate non-DOT yard trucks and other yard equipment within the mill.
- Complete daily equipment inspections and pre-operation checklists.
- Safely move, position, clean, inspect, and prepare trailers throughout the warehouse yard.
- Place trailers at designated dock doors following established procedures.
- Prepare dock areas for incoming shifts.
- Unload raw materials into the warehouse.
- Move finished production from conveyor lines to designated storage bays.
- Complete required documentation and promptly report equipment issues or maintenance concerns.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
Qualifications:
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Experience operating non-DOT yard trucks (yard jockeys/spotter trucks) is required.
- Experience maneuvering and positioning tractor trailers in a warehouse or manufacturing yard.
- CDL and current Medical Card are preferred but not required.
- Forklift experience is a plus but does not replace required yard truck experience.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to alternate between standing and sitting throughout the shift.
- Must be comfortable wearing all required PPE.
- Must be able to safely manage multiple tasks while meeting production deadlines.
- Must successfully complete all required safety training.
