Event Logistics Driver & Warehouse Assistant (Per Diem / On-Call)

Labor Events, Inc. is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and organized individual to join our luxury event production team.

This is a per diem, on-call position. Work is scheduled as events are booked, so some weeks may be busy while others may have less work. Each week you’ll receive a detailed schedule outlining your responsibilities, pickup times, delivery locations, and warehouse tasks.

Compensation

$27–$30 per hour (based on experience)

✔ Minimum 4-hour scheduled shifts guarantee

✔ Opportunities for additional hours/pay assisting with event setups and breakdowns

What You’ll Do

As our Event Logistics Driver & Warehouse Assistant, you’ll play a key role in making every event successful.

Responsibilities include:

• Picking up and returning rental items, décor, props, furniture, florals, and event supplies throughout NYC and surrounding areas.

• Picking up and returning prepaid cargo vans through our corporate U-Haul account when needed (unless you have your own cargo van).

• Loading and unloading vehicles using detailed event packing lists.

• Transporting inventory safely to and from our storage units in Jamaica, Queens.

• Running company errands, including Home Depot, laundry drop off/pickup, print shops, florists, restaurant supply stores, and other vendors.

• Maintaining clean, organized storage units.

• Preparing inventory for upcoming events.

• Returning inventory to its designated location after each event.

• Processing post-event returns by:

Separating dirty fabrics for laundry

Separating dirty items (candle waxed, dirty charger plates, etc)

Disposing of trash and damaged disposable materials

Restocking supplies such as plastic wrap, bags, tape, and packing materials

• Cleaning, painting, wrapping, repairing, and maintaining event props as needed.

Event Support

You’ll have the option to assist our production team with event installations and breakdowns. This is a great opportunity to earn additional hours while learning luxury event production.

Requirements

✔ Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

✔ Clean background check

✔ Able to comfortably lift 50 lbs.

✔ Dependable and punctual

✔ Organized with strong attention to detail

✔ Comfortable driving throughout NYC and surrounding areas

✔ Able to work independently and as part of a team

✔ Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional late-night or after-midnight pickups and deliveries

Preferred (Not Required)

• Previous experience in logistics, moving, warehouse operations, delivery, or event production

• Experience driving cargo vans

• Own cargo van

• Own helper/assistant for larger deliveries
