Extended Learning Coordinator
- Salary Range $75,000-$80,000 (260 days)

Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, social work or a related field.
2. Minimum of five years experience in education, career development, youth programs, etc. preferred.
3. Strong public speaking skills
4. Strong community relations background
5. Strong computer and technology skills: Proficiency in google sheets, google docs, google slides.
6. Strong writing skills, ability to develop marketing materials.
7. Experience in establishing industry and community partnerships.
8. Experience in creating work-based learning opportunities for students off campus.
9. NH driver license, proof of auto insurance and reliable transportation.
This position will support extended learning and work-based opportunities for the students in the Laconia School District. Time will be evenly shared between Laconia High School and afterschool programs. 9:30 - 4:30 (5:30 on occasion).
This position will proactively create and develop positive relationships with all members of the school community (student, teachers, families, community partnerships).
● Connect students who are in grades 9-12 with work-based learning experiences. Students will explore and participate in high quality internships, job shadows and apprenticeships.Opportunities need to be communicated and marketed to students, families and staff.
● Oversee record keeping that establishes and documents the progress of accountability measures towards SB276 “Drive to 65 Act”.
For example student enrollment and attendance records, data entry for internal and external reporting, ensuring off site work-based locations are in compliance with NH Labor Regulations, etc.
● Work with all students, with a special focus on Tier II and Tier III to identify students furthest from opportunity, who may benefit from participating in alternative pathways to gain career-based skills, such as apprenticeship programs and earning IRCs based upon personal interests. Educating students how they will be able to connect this learning to an ELO for high school credits.
● Research and expand our current Industry Recognized Credentials, and update record keeping.
● Help to create and update marketing materials, social media, update websites to accurately communicate extended learning experiences.
● Hold career-based after school workshops that prepare students for the workforce by expanding their knowledge in career pathways, engaging students in acquiring and demonstrating employable skills. An example may include: Apprenticeships 101, All about IRCs,
Resume Building, Mock Interviews, Business Tours, Field Trips, Dress for Success, etc.
● Create relationships with members of the community to develop partnerships and new program opportunities for students in grades
K-12.
● Assist the Director of the Office of Extended Learning with oversight of the Laconia School District out-of-school-time enrichment program. We currently have 125 staff members at our 5 schools, serving over 500 students. Responsibilities will include purchasing, budgeting and maintaining accurate recordkeeping in compliance with the federal grant reporting.
● Provide staffing assistance to site coordinators (may require providing coverage to 5:30 pm on occasion)
● Laconia offers a robust, full-time, 5 week summer program that serves over 200 students. This position will assist with the planning, implementation and supervision of the summer learning programs for students in K-12.
