Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Home Health Aides or CNA's to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily living activities and personal care. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Monitor and record clients’ health status, including vital signs.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate techniques to ensure safety.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding any changes in client condition.
- Implement care plans developed by Health Services Director
Requirements
- Experience in long-term care or home care settings is required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is beneficial.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control practices.
- Understanding of memory care principles for clients with cognitive impairments.
- Experience working in an ICU or Level I Trauma Center is a plus.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records systems such as Epic is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- Ability to work independently while following established protocols and guidelines.
- Must be reliable, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality care.
