Position Summary
This role is responsible for managing monthly billings across a portfolio of commercial construction projects. Involves managing documentation, ensuring accurate documentation of payments and maintaining compliance with contract terms.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Billing Functions:
- Project set-up with budget and proposal input into Sage
- Perform financial calculations, such as amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, equity, and principle
- Prepare and send commercial invoices in compliance with specific contract language
- Coordinate billing amounts with internal job owner
- Monitor receivables aging and follow up on past due accounts – run aging reports for management
Financial Functions:
- Code documents according to company procedures
- Prepare bank deposit documentation
- Receive and record payments on accounts
- Verify accuracy of financial data
- Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records
- Maintain WIP reports
Business Operations:
- Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts
- Search files, databases or reference materials to obtain needed information
- Coordinate with other departments for job status
- Maintain Reseller permits for wholesale vs retail sales
Other Functions:
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations
- Communicate with Supervisors and Peers
- Communicate with Persons Outside Organization
- Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- 2-5 years work experience in a construction billing/project accounting environment or construction administration
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Familiarity with construction specific billing methodologies (quoted, progress, time and materials)
- Proficiency with accounting software (Sage Contractor 100)
- Proficiency in Microsoft office apps (excel, outlook and word)

Pay information:
Starting range is $25-$35 per hour depending on experience.
Salary range for position is $25-$40 per hour.
