What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler/Forklift Operator position at Lacerta Group?
We have 1 opening on 1st shift and another opening on 2nd shift.
This position is responsible for identifying, transporting, packing, removing and disposing of materials.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Identify and record required info by reading labels and scanning product
· Transport materials by forklift, hand truck and other lift equipment
· Operator Straight Wrapper and ensure all cartons are identified with a carton label and the skid with a skid label
· Pack material and assemble boxes as needed
· Remove and dispose of materials to Bailer as regulated by Company and laws
· Follow all safety procedures and SQF regulations
· Keep a clean working area and floors picked up and swept
· Provide training and direction to others
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Able to identify, scan, match and read labels
· Proficient in mathematics
· Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace
· Power Equipment Trained and Company certification
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· High school diploma/GED required
· 2 years of manufacturing and/or forklift experience
