What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Accountant position at Lacas Coffee Company?
Established and growing Food & Beverage Company seeking an Inventory Accountant temporarily to help manage its inventory management, including entering/reviewing production entries, assisting with Purchasing activities, and working with other members of Finance to ensure all production and sales orders can be entered. The Cost Accountant will review production entries and perform cycle counts on a timely basis. This person will assist the Controller on month-end close processes and reporting for Inventory and Cost of Sales.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Duties
- Work with the Finance team to enter/review Production Orders.
- Create Purchase Orders for inventory based on Sales Order Planning Reports.
- Review Inventory reports for items remaining on Delivery Vehicles from prior day.
- Assist the Accounts Receivable/Sales team on items needed for Sales orders.
Month-end process
- Assist in counting key inventory items and reviewing vs. the ERP system.
- Assist the Controller on any ad-hoc reporting or projects to improve efficiency
Systems, Processes & Technology
- Experience with Inventory Control in a manufacturing setting, SAGE ERP experience a PLUS, and Proficient in Excel
- Proficient with other Office products, including Word, Outlook, and Access.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 2 years of experience. Experience in cost accounting and general accounting in a manufacturing environment is a major plus.
Language Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication. Responds to questions and requests from managers, customers, and senior management promptly and accurately.
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
