The Software Developer - Fullstack/DevOps (Senior) is responsible for the design, development,

testing, deployment, and maintenance of medical device software systems in an ISO

environment. This position combines fullstack development capabilities with DevOps engineering practices to ensure reliable, secure, and compliant software delivery throughout the product lifecycle. The Developer will directly report to the Head of Software development.

Your Key Responsibilities:

·       Design, develop, and maintain fullstack applications for medical device systems, including interfacing with medical devices, custom hardware and healthcare systems.

·       Implement secure coding practices and security-by-design principles.

·       Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 27001, FDA).

·       Implement automated testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

·       Participate in testing activities, from description to execution.

·       Manage cloud infrastructure and containerized environments using Terraform.

·       Automate build and deployment processes while maintaining traceability and Change Control requirements.

·       Implement and maintain monitoring metrics and logging.

·       Monitor system performance, availability, and security metrics.

Your Qualifications

·       BS or MS in computer science, software engineering or related fields with minimum 10 years of experience in software development with fullstack and DevOps responsibilities

·       Proficiency in Java (Spring Framework is a plus) or Python (wx is a plus) and or frontend frameworks like Vue.js/React/Angular

·       Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL)

·       Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git and Git workflows

·       Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker)

·       Linux/Unix system administration skills and command-line proficiency

·       Experience with CI/CD tools and IaC (Terraform)

·       Understanding of networking, security protocols, and encryption technologies

·       Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana)

·       Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

·       Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

·       Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

·       Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

·       Adaptability to changing requirements and regulatory landscapes (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 27001, FDA)

Working Conditions

FLSA Status: Full Time, Exempt.

US HQ located in Durham, NC. Hybrid In-Office/Work from Home. Up to 10 % travel.

Long periods of sitting and computer work standing.
