Summary/Objective: The Program Specialist is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of workforce training and development programs within Seek to Learn. This position assists with program operations, grant writing, fundraising efforts, classroom support, and administrative coordination. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support multiple initiatives while working collaboratively with staff, participants, and community partners.

Position Type: This is a full-time, exempt position that is expected to work independently and proactively to meet deadlines and departmental goals. This position regularly requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment regarding matters of significance.
Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position with typical work hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required based on program needs, events, or deadlines.

Program Coordination & Support:
- Coordinate and support training programs, workshops, and events, including scheduling and logistics.
- Facilitate training sessions and support participants during program delivery.
- Maintain organized program records, participant data, and documentation.
- Support implementation of program initiatives and daytoday operations.
- Provide classroom coverage and assist instructors as needed.
- Support participant enrollment, communication, and attendance tracking.
- Assist with monitoring participant progress and engagement.
- Help coordinate logistics for classes, including materials and technology setup.
- Assist with grant research, writing, and submission processes.
- Support fundraising initiatives, including donor outreach and engagement.
- Contribute creative ideas and assist with planning and coordinating fundraising events and initiatives.
- Maintain records related to grants, funding sources, and reporting requirements.
- Collect, track, and organize program data and performance metrics.
- Assist in preparing reports related to program outcomes and effectiveness.
- Support data entry and basic analysis using Excel or similar tools.
- Assist with building and maintaining relationships with participants, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Support communication and engage with training providers, employers, and educational institutions.
- Represent the program at community events, outreach activities, and networking opportunities.
- Support outreach efforts, including social media, presentations, and program promotion.
- Weekly outreach to potential donor individuals / Companies.

Required Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in a related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in program coordination, workforce development, or education.
- Experience in administrative support.
- Experience with or exposure to grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Outgoing personality.
- Sales / fundraising experience preferred.
- Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (business, education, workforce development, or nonprofit management).
- Familiarity with donor research tools and data tracking/reporting.
- Experience supporting training programs, workshops, or communitybased initiatives.
- Experience with program coordination tools, event planning, or stakeholder engagement.
