Role Description
The Associate Photographer works as a trusted extension of the Lead Photographer, capturing weddings and sessions on behalf of the studio with consistency, professionalism, and artistry. This role requires the ability to photograph events independently while upholding the studio’s creative standards, client experience, and brand values.
The Associate Photographer is responsible for documenting wedding days as scheduled, delivering high-quality raw files for post-production by the Lead Photographer. Clear communication, professionalism, and reliability are essential, as Associates often serve as the primary photographer when the Lead Photographer is unavailable.
Qualifications
- 2 years of professional wedding photography experience preferred
- Strong portfolio demonstrating technical ability, use of flash and consistent style
- Proficiency with mirrorless camera systems
- Experience photographing weddings independently
- Ability to remain calm and composed in fast-paced environments
- Reliable personal transportation required
- Exceptional ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Understanding of branding and visual storytelling is an advantage
- A degree in photography, visual arts, or a related field is preferred but not required
Competitive Pay & Details (Contracted Role)
($125-$150/hr) based on experience and portfolio quality
