Assistant Manager – Escape Room Entertainment
Location: Nampa, Idaho
Pay: Starting at $21.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 32–50 hours per week
Labyrinth Escape Games is seeking a reliable, guest-focused Assistant Manager to help lead daily operations at our Nampa location.
This is an active, customer-facing position that combines shift leadership, hospitality, game hosting, team support, and basic operational troubleshooting. The ideal candidate remains calm under pressure, communicates clearly, and enjoys helping both guests and coworkers have a great experience.
This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Availability during evenings, weekends, holidays, and especially Saturdays is required.
What You’ll DoLead Daily Shifts
- Serve as the on-site shift lead when assigned
- Direct Hosts and Team Members during active operations
- Help ensure games begin on time and guests move smoothly through the facility
- Step into hosting, front-desk, or control-room positions as needed
- Communicate operational concerns to the Site Manager or Operations Manager
- Help complete opening and closing procedures accurately and on time
Create an Outstanding Guest Experience
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service
- Assist with check-in, reservations, booking changes, and guest questions
- Conduct game briefings, monitor games, and provide post-game debriefings
- Answer phones and respond professionally to guest inquiries
- Address guest concerns and service issues during assigned shifts
- Support large groups, private bookings, and special events
Support Games and Facility Operations
- Assist with basic troubleshooting when game issues occur
- Follow established game reset and repair procedures
- Document technical or operational problems and escalate them when necessary
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks as directed
- Follow all company safety and operating procedures
- Help coordinate approved vendor visits and report facility concerns
Maintain a Clean and Guest-Ready Location
- Conduct routine walkthroughs of the facility
- Complete assigned operational checklists
- Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of:
- Lobby and common areas
- Restrooms
- Control rooms
- Game spaces
- Storage areas
- Monitor consumable supplies and report low inventory
- Assist with restocking and organizing supplies
Train and Support Team Members
- Train Hosts on game procedures, customer-service standards, and reset processes
- Provide helpful in-shift coaching and feedback
- Model professionalism, reliability, and company standards
- Review operational updates at the beginning of each shift
- Document incidents and guest issues according to company procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in hospitality, retail, entertainment, or customer service is required
- Previous experience in escape rooms is advantageous
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain professional and calm in a busy environment
- Dependable, punctual, and organized
- Comfortable directing team members during active shifts
- Willingness to perform a variety of guest-service and operational duties
- Comfortable working evenings, weekends, holidays, and Saturdays
- Basic ability using computers and tablets
Schedule
- Expected to work approximately 32–50 hours per week
- Evening and weekend availability is required
- Saturdays are standard operating days
- Holiday availability may be required
- Additional hours may be required during peak seasons and special events
- Schedules are provided in advance whenever possible
Weekly hours may vary based on business needs, seasonal demand, staffing levels, and special events.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting wage of $21.00 per hour
- Eligible for discretionary spot bonuses
Physical Requirements
This position is performed in a customer-facing entertainment environment and may require:
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Light physical activity associated with resetting games and daily operations
- Regular use of computers and tablets
- Moving between the lobby, control rooms, game spaces, and other areas of the facility
Reporting Structure
The Assistant Manager reports to the Site Manager and works closely with the Operations Manager and company ownership.
This position provides shift leadership but does not include responsibility for hiring, termination, compensation decisions, ownership of employee scheduling, or formal disciplinary action.
