About the Role
LabVault is a high-complexity molecular diagnostics laboratory operating under a Laboratory-as-a-Service model. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented biological science or equivalent graduate to join our team in an entry-level Laboratory Assistant position.
Day to day, this role is focused on data entry. You will be working in our Laboratory Information System, accessioning specimens; entering and verifying patient and specimen information accurately and consistently. This will range between multiple laboratory entities, so efficiency and organization are priorities as well as attention to detail.
Lab-Vault is looking for the right attitude and ambitious individual who would be an addition to our team and can see a future in transitioning into laboratory bench work. This is a pathways position that will open doors into a high-complexity laboratory career.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Enter and verify patient and specimen data in the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- Maintain accuracy and consistency across high volumes of records
- Flag discrepancies or data issues for review
- Keep organized records in line with lab procedures
- Acts as the primary telephone liaison between the laboratory and partner physician offices.
- Pitch in with general lab support tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biology, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related life science field
- High attention to detail — this is the most important thing
- Comfortable doing focused, repetitive work accurately for extended periods
- Reliable, shows up, follows instructions, asks questions when unsure
- Basic computer proficiency; Microsoft Office experience helpful
- Any laboratory background is a plus but not required

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
