LABUR is partnering with a client to identify a Data Integration Engineer who will design, develop, and maintain modern data pipelines on the Informatica Data Management Cloud platform. This role enables data ingestion, transformation, and integration in support of a cloud-first data architecture and enterprise data warehouse. The ideal person needs to bring hands-on IDMC expertise, strong SQL and AWS Redshift proficiency, and a DevOps mindset for managing change and deployment across environments.

LABUR is partnering with a client to identify a Data Integration Engineer who will design, develop, and maintain modern data pipelines on the Informatica Data Management Cloud platform. This role enables data ingestion, transformation, and integration in support of a cloud-first data architecture and enterprise data warehouse. The ideal person needs to bring hands-on IDMC expertise, strong SQL and AWS Redshift proficiency, and a DevOps mindset for managing change and deployment across environments.
Responsibilities
- Build complex, reusable IDMC integration pipelines leveraging Mass Ingestion, Application Ingestion, Taskflows, and REST APIs
- Develop high-quality ETL pipelines that source, transform, and deliver data into AWS Redshift and other targets
- Optimize and refactor mappings and workflows for performance, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Perform root cause analysis on failed jobs and implement long-term remediation to improve pipeline resiliency
- Create and maintain source-to-target mappings, technical specifications, and integration documentation
- Support deployment pipelines and participate in data lifecycle management and change control processes to ensure high-quality, low-risk promotions across environments
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and the evolution of integration best practices and reusable design patterns
- Provide production support including monitoring, issue resolution, job reruns, and incident tracking
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of ETL development experience, including 2 years with Informatica PowerCenter or IDMC
- 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS products, preferably Redshift, along with proficiency in PostgreSQL, DDL/DML, and stored procedures
- 2 years of experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD, automated deployments)
- Expertise in IDMC Data Integration components including Mass Ingestion, Application Ingestion, Taskflows, and API-based integration
- Experience with RESTful services, JMS messaging, or other integration patterns (SOA, EDA)
- Background in property and casualty insurance or other regulated industries with compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, audit readiness) preferred
