Job Summary
This role is responsible for shipping and receiving, inventory control duties, and minor facility maintenance. The position requires efficient movement of goods into and out of our warehouses, proper inventory management, and maintenance tasks.
Duties
- Safely operate forklifts, trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Transport chemicals and packaging to local warehouses.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes and inventory using our inventory management system.
- Count, sort, or weigh incoming goods to verify receipt of items against packing list and/or purchase orders.
- Prepare, verify and inspect incoming and outgoing shipments with proper paperwork, labels, etc.
- Ensure proper stocking of products on shelves or pallets, maintaining organized storage for easy access and inventory control
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and weight limits using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of inbound and outbound shipments, stock levels, and inventory transactions in the warehouse management system.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the shipping areas includes the inside and outside, the shipping and receiving vehicle, and local warehouses.
- Can troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
- Manage minor maintenance tasks, such as filter changes, maintenance, snow and grass removal, etc.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in shipping & receiving operations
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including order picking, packing, stocking, and inventory management
- Basic math skills necessary
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Warehouse certification or forklift certification is a plus.
- Must be a team player
- Must be punctual
- Must have a drivers license
- Must have computer skills
- Must be able to drive a box truck
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
