Duties
- Perform blood sampling and venipuncture procedures accurately and efficiently at various mobile locations
- Collect specimens following strict laboratory procedures and aseptic techniques to ensure sample integrity
- Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to support clinical laboratory testing requirements
- Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout the process
- Process and label specimens correctly, ensuring proper handling for laboratory analysis
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and specimen details in accordance with medical terminology standards
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines during all specimen collection activities
Experience
- Prior experience in clinical laboratories or hospital settings performing phlebotomy or blood sampling is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and anatomy relevant to venipuncture and blood collection
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, providing compassionate care in various environments
- Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and aseptic techniques is essential
- Previous roles involving specimen processing or handling in a healthcare setting will be advantageous
- Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy to ensure safe and effective blood collection practices
