Job Objective:
The objective is to support the manufacturing department and maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on CNC equipment, conveyors, ovens, motors, blowers, and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, engineering specifications and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locate and repair sources of problems by observing electrical logic and mechanical devices in operation.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock and anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies.
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using necessary hand tools, precision measuring instruments or electrical testing devices.
- Assemble, install, or repair facility and equipment wiring, electrical or electronic components, machinery, or equipment.
- May assist with dismantling of machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
- Observes all safety procedures and reports any potential hazards to superiors immediately.
Abilities & Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent, Additional education or experience in mechanical, electrical and control troubleshooting is desirable.
- The ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints and schematics to trouble shoot equipment.
- Additional education or experience in mechanical, electrical and control troubleshooting is desirable.
- Knowledge of control circuits that utilize both relay and solid-state logic including Programmable Logic controllers and Variable Frequency Drives
- Knowledge of CNC machinery
- Able to meet or exceed physical requirements (see physical requirements form)
- Knowledge of Single and 3 Phase power circuits and 110 VAC / 24 VDC control circuits
- Must possess a driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle screen
