What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at Laborup?
Overview:
We're hiring a hands-on CNC Programmer & Machinist for our precision machining and tooling facility outside of Louisville, KY.
Alongside the parts we're known for providing the machining industry, this site machines large-format dies and equipment for the extrusion industry, holding tight tolerances on 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes.
We're looking for a machinist who came up on the shop floor, has deep hands-on experience, and has learned true CNC programming along the way. You'll write and edit programs in NX, including full 5-axis mill programming, then head to the floor to prove them out yourself. You'll still run setups, in-process inspections, and program adjustments daily.
This is work for advanced hands-on machinists with the programming skill to build the process from the ground up.
