Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for performing basic maintenance and repair tasks throughout an apartment community, with a primary focus on preparing vacant homes for new residents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Replace light bulbs, fixtures, and batteries as needed.
• Patch, repair, and touch up drywall and wall surfaces.
• Paint walls, trim, and other surfaces as required.
• Assist with apartment turns and preparation of vacant units.
• Perform basic repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Remove trash and debris from vacant units and common areas.
• Report maintenance concerns and safety issues to management.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with preventative maintenance projects as assigned.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous maintenance, construction, painting, or handyman experience is required.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:

• Basic painting and drywall repair experience.
• General knowledge of apartment maintenance.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
