An LPN work directly with providers and staff to deliver exceptional pediatric care, performing patient assessments, administering treatments and immunizations, coordinating care, and supporting families every step of the way.
What You’ll Do
- Greet patients and families with warmth and professionalism.
- Review charts and prepare for patient visits.
- Perform patient assessments, including taking vitals (weight, height, BP, temperature, head circumference).
- Document allergies, medical history, and visit notes accurately.
- Administer medications and immunizations as ordered by providers.
- Assist providers during exams, procedures, and minor treatments.
- Perform diagnostic tests (e.g., hearing tests).
- Conduct telephone triage and provide patient advice with provider guidance.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and community resources.
- Monitor patient progress and follow-up on care plans.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, safe, and fully stocked.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Graduate of accredited nursing program.
- Licensed or eligible for NC LPN licensure.
- 1 year clinical experience (pediatric experience preferred).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
