Qualifications
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in human services, Social Work, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a role involving direct public engagement, customer service, or workforce development.
Substitution of Experience for Education: Experience in a customer service-related field such as, social service, community development, and retail customer service may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Necessary Special Qualifications: Possession of a valid motor vehicle driver's license
Overview
Responsible for specific program areas including: SNAP Employment & Training (E&T), RESEA (Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment), H-2A Housing Inspection, Wagner-Peyser via a Mobile Career Coach to support statewide workforce initiatives through direct service delivery, program administration, outreach, compliance, and partnership coordination. Positions require flexibility, mobility, and able to drive and operate a 27 ft or 34 ft truck/RV type vehicle.
Responsibilities
- This position is responsible for working varied hours (morning or evening) for events including occasional weekends
- mandatory travel throughout Regions of Tennessee
- Possibility of being deployed under the direction of the Commissioner or Governor during natural disasters
