Labor Union Coalition is Hiring Temporary Field Canvassing Lead
A coalition of labor unions is seeking a field canvassing lead to elect progressive labor champions to local elected office in San Francisco.
We are a passionate and driven team of advocates building our collective power and seeking field canvassers to advance progressive causes. Applicants with diverse interests, experiences, and histories are welcome to apply.

Salary: Up to $45 per hour
Qualifications:
· Prior campaign experience managing and training canvassers.
· Knowledge of PDI Political Data or other canvassing software and assigning turf. A deep knowledge of local politics and/or the San Francisco electorate is a plus.
· You are passionate and outspoken about progressive social causes and can communicate meaningfully with a broad range of people.
· You have access to reliable (personal or public) transportation and are willing to travel to various locations within San Francisco.
· You are willing and able to canvass outdoors which may include mildly strenuous physical activity, such as walking and climbing stairs.
· Available to work weekdays and weekends. Expected hours are 12pm – 8pm on weekdays and 9am – 3pm on weekends.
· You are at least 18 years of age and qualified to work in the US.
· Fluency in other languages (i.e., Spanish, Cantonese) is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
· Lead and Supervise Canvassers: Manage and support a team of canvassers, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to succeed.
· Door-to-Door Canvassing: Visit local neighborhoods and engage directly with voters about progressive candidates and the campaign’s key issues.
· Data Analysis: Utilize data to inform strategic canvassing efforts and optimize our outreach efforts.
· Literature Distribution: Distribute campaign literature such as flyers and brochures to educate voters.
· Training and Development: Train new canvassers and provide ongoing support to enhance their effectiveness and efficiency.
· Reporting: Maintain accurate records of canvassing activities and report progress to campaign leadership.
