Accountant

We are a fast-growing manufacturing business in Northbrook, IL. manufacture a variety of metal fasteners for use in the bedding, upholstered furniture, construction, and aquaculture markets. We are looking for a self-starting individual with strong analytical, technology, communication and organizational skills. Accounting knowledge is a required and a college degree in accounting or business administration would be preferred.    ONSITE POSITION ONLY.On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal is to help fortify the financial function, controls and reporting in a small, rapidly growing business.Typical Duties• Support most aspects of accounting management (billing, reporting etc.)• Establishing and maintaining internal controls• Managing all aspects of the general ledger• Providing monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses• Helping in development of reports for management; coordinating or assisting withthe budget process• Analyzing and reporting cost variances• Supervising accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accountingactivities• Assisting in the formulation of internal controls and policies.• Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolveinaccuracies or imbalances.• Utilize accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records.Skills• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financialclosure, reporting etc.)• Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting• Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software (e.g.QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions Manufacturing) is essential• Well-organized with ability to prioritize• Very good communication and interpersonal skills• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability• BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field is preferredJob Type: Full-timeSalary: Commensurate with experienceBenefits:• 401(k)• 401(k) matching• Health insurance• Paid time offSupplemental pay types:• Bonus CompensationEducation:• College degree in Business or Accounting preferred.Company DescriptionLabor Solutions, LLC is a leader in the professional, temporary, and direct hire industry throughout the Midwest area.
