Mechanical Assembler
Labor Solutions, LLC Location: Northbrook Job Type: Full-Time Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour.
We have an immediate opening for a Mechanical Assembler to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will:
- Assemble mechanical parts, components, and finished products according to engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs), work instructions, and technical documents.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
- Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of assembled products.
- Identify and report defective materials, parts, or equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Accurately record production data and complete required documentation.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve assembly issues.
- Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic English communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic math and counting functions.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Preferred
- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or mechanical production environments.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
Schedule
Monday through Friday
- 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM
Overtime may be required occasionally.
