Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Rotoflex Rewinder Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating slitter/rewinder or converting equipment and a strong attention to detail.

The Rotoflex Rewinder Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring Rotoflex finishing and rewinding equipment to convert printed master rolls into high-quality finished label rolls. This position plays an important role in maintaining product quality, meeting production schedules, minimizing material waste, and operating equipment safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate Rotoflex slitter and rewinder equipment according to job specifications.
• Review work orders, production schedules, and product specifications before starting each job.
• Adjust machine settings, including web tension, speed, alignment, and other operating parameters.
• Monitor machine operation throughout production to ensure consistent performance and product quality.
• Convert large master press rolls into smaller finished rolls according to customer specifications.
• Inspect labels and finished rolls for defects such as color variations, print defects, misalignment, wrinkles, splices, and other quality issues.
• Verify roll dimensions, counts, core sizes, and other product specifications using measuring tools.
• Identify and correct quality issues to reduce waste, rework, and production downtime.
• Maintain proper web tension and alignment during slitting and rewinding.
• Ensure finished rolls are properly wound, labeled, packaged, and prepared for the next stage of production or shipment.
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical and operating issues and make appropriate machine adjustments.
• Report equipment problems, maintenance needs, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor or maintenance personnel.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Complete production, quality, and other required documentation accurately.
