What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Helper position at Labor Finders?
We are hiring a Shop Helper for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Pinetops, NC (600-hour temp period). This position is on a day shift, Monday through Friday schedule. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized shop and rental fleet, supporting equipment maintenance, and assisting with general shop operations in a warehouse/outdoor environment with varying conditions.
Responsibilities
- Clean and wash heavy equipment, trailers, and shop vehicles
- Maintain shop cleanliness, including floors, lots, and exterior areas
- Assist with loading, unloading, and equipment movement
- Support basic repairs and maintenance of trailers and equipment
- Follow safety procedures and use proper PPE and cleaning chemicals
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to attend scheduled interviews and work assignments
