What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer/Machinist position at Labor Finders?
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Fletcher, NC. The ideal candidate will have proven experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment, including horizontal lathes and 5-axis milling machines, with the ability to read mechanical drawings, work within specified tolerances, use precision measurement tools, and troubleshoot equipment. Day and night shifts are available, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC horizontal lathes and 5-axis milling machines.
- Produce small lots of machined parts according to drawings and specified tolerances.
- Use CAD/CAM and CNC controls to program and configure machine offsets.
- Maintain equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment while supporting efficient production and adapting to changing schedules.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience programming and operating CNC equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings with minimal tolerances.
- Experience using micrometers, calipers, and GO/NO-GO gauges; metric system knowledge required.
- Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, and Mazatrol machining centers; ability to configure and set offsets.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
