Labette Health is seeking a dedicated Scrub Tech to join our Surgical

Services team. This role is responsible for assisting surgeons and

nursing staff during operative and invasive procedures by preparing the

sterile field, maintaining surgical instrumentation, and ensuring a safe

and efficient operating room environment.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, teamwork,

and the ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced surgical

setting while supporting our mission of providing high-quality care

close to home.

### **Key Responsibilities** {#key-responsibilities data-start="1033" end="1061"}

• Prepare and maintain the sterile surgical field for procedures
• Anticipate surgeon and procedural needs by selecting and passing
  
  

instruments and supplies

• Perform surgical counts with circulating staff in accordance with
  
  

policy

• Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and room turnover
• Ensure proper handling, care, and sterilization of surgical
  
  

instruments and equipment

• Maintain aseptic technique and infection prevention standards at all
  
  

times

• Participate in stocking, inventory management, and supply
  
  

organization

• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia, nursing staff,
  
  

and sterile processing

• Respond appropriately in urgent or emergent situations
  
  

### **Qualifications** {#qualifications data-start="1775" end="1797"}

**Education & Certification**

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred, not
  
  

required; or Diploma in nursing, associate\'s degree (A.D.N.) from

two-year college or Bachelor\'s Degree (B.S.N.) from a four year

college with licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred, not required
• BLS certification required (or obtained upon hire)
  
  

**Experience**

• Previous surgical or procedural experience preferred
