Summary
Labette Health is seeking a dependable and patient-focused Phlebotomist
/ Lab Assistant to join our laboratory team.
What Youll Do
- Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures on patients of all
- Accurately label and process specimens
- Prepare samples for in-house testing or send-out to reference labs
- Assist with specimen tracking and documentation in the EMR
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to infection control
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, nursing units, and
- Support lab operations as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Phlebotomy certification a plus
- Previous phlebotomy or clinical experience preferred, but not
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Calm, compassionate demeanor with patients
