Labette Health, an award-winning, not-for-profit hospital, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Patient Care Tech/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Medical-Surgical team on the day shift. Position Summary: As a PCT/CNA on our Med-Surg floor, you will play a vital role in supporting our nursing staff by assisting with basic patient care needs and ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, mobility)
- Take and record vital signs and input/output measurements
- Provide support during patient transfers and ambulation
- Communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Ensure patient rooms and equipment are clean and properly maintained
- Offer compassionate, respectful care to patients and families
Qualifications:
- Current Kansas CNA certification preferred, not required
- BLS certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Previous hospital or Med-Surg experience preferred, not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, caring, and detail-oriented
