- Position Summary:**The ED Tech/Patient Sitter is responsible for

- **Patient Care**: Monitor patient as well as their condition and
- **Continuous Monitoring:**Provide constant 1:1, direct supervision
- **Patient Safety:**Prevent patients from self-harm, falls, or other
signs or plans of self-harm patient has shared.
- **Communication:**Report any changes in the patient\'s behavior,
- **Support:**Assist patients with basic needs such as eating,

- **Companionship:**Offer emotional support and comfort to patients
- **Documentation:**Maintain accurate records of observations and
document safety checks every 15 minutes
- **Adherence to Policies:**Follow all hospital policies and
confidentiality.
- **Team Collaboration:**Work collaboratively with the healthcare team
**Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)**
- **Education:**High school diploma or equivalent required.
- **Experience:**Previous experience in a healthcare setting or in a

- Strong observation and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations,
- Empathy and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- **Certifications:**CNA Certification is preferred but not required.
- **Training:**Initial OJT and annual training/competency required.
