Job Summary
Labels On Demand is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Manager to oversee all shipping and receiving operations at our Spring Hill, TN facility. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate counts of labels during packing, coordinate the shipping and receiving of materials, and manage inventory levels of supplies to support seamless production. This role is critical to maintaining our commitment to quality and efficiency in the label manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and verify accurate counts of labels during the packing process to ensure order precision.
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling with carriers and tracking deliveries.
- Oversee the receiving of raw materials, inspecting for quality and quantity against purchase orders.
- Manage inventory levels of shipping supplies (e.g., boxes, tape, labels) and production materials, initiating reorder requests as needed.
- Maintain organized records of shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions for audits and reporting.
- Collaborate with production and sales teams to align shipping schedules with customer demand.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in the shipping area.
- Troubleshoot and resolve shipping or inventory discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or inventory management preferred.
- 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or inventory management, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical skills for accurate counting and record-keeping.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations (e.g., DOT, OSHA) is a plus.
