Position Purpose

We’re seeking spirited can do people to join our Manufacturing team in the exciting world of hazmat compliance. Experienced Production Lead preferred.

This is a fast paced environment and requires a great attitude, attention to detail, punctuality and great quality control.

Your ability to collaborate with others, communicate, and be dependable are all crucial for this job and able to stand for the whole day.

Hands-on Team Lead assisting with all related finishing functions in a print shop environment. Some tasks include labeling, shrink-wrap, rewind, laminating, and cutting materials while motivating and cultivating others.

Trains and develops team members to be proficient and work in the most efficient manners. Focus on safety and quality, meeting company standards and SLA. Shift will be 2pm-10pm M-F.

Essential Functions

  • Follow Production Schedules for all Manufacturing divisions to ensure efficient workflow and SLA are met
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Leadership and Production Scheduler
  • Monitor and work the various day to day job tasks in the Finishing area of Manufacturing as required
  • Inspect & remove waste in printed rolls
  • Cut materials to size
  • Back-slit, sheet, or fanfold products
  • Various addition job tasks including Thermal Production and other
  • Complete paperwork including press data sheets, other
  • Complete required production quality inspections
  • Check jobs and sign off jobs ensuring they are correct
  • Verify material is correct and conforming
  • Teach, Train, Develop, Recognize and Reward Associates
  • Assist with development of SOP’s and implementation
  • Partner with Warehouse Operations to ensure all materials for PC and Thermal are picked or ready to ship
  • Learn to close production jobs and other reporting functions
  • Participate in performance discussions
  • Participate in employee evaluations
  • Proven track record for gaining results and giving recognition

Education, Knowledge and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
  • Material picking & packing experience preferred
  • Knowledge / understanding of Manufacturing Printing Environment including Flexographic, Screen Printing and other equipment
  • Ability to be flexible in finding solutions in changing environment preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to motivate Associates preferred
  • Troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to follow / give written & verbal instructions / directions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to read & interpret documents
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Ability to work overtime when needed
