What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Representative position at Label-Aid Systems?
Label-Aid Systems, Inc. — a trusted manufacturer of custom labels, graphic overlays, and industrial printing solutions — is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Inside Sales Representative to join our growing team.
This unique position is designed as a two-year training track that begins with a foundation in Customer Service and Manufacturing and progresses into a full Inside Sales Representative role. You’ll gain a deep understanding of our products, processes, and customers while developing the technical and communication skills needed to succeed in industrial sales.
What You’ll Do:
• Begin in a hands-on Customer Service and Manufacturing Apprenticeship, learning our production methods, materials, and processes.
• Manage incoming customer inquiries, quotes, and orders — ensuring exceptional service and accuracy.
• Engage with customers and prospects daily through phone and email.
• Make both warm and cold calls to prospective clients, building relationships and identifying new business opportunities. (85% respond to and sell incoming internet requests, 15% cold calls)
• Prepare quotes and estimates, requiring a strong grasp of dimensions, technical drawings, art files, and cost structures.
• Collaborate closely with production and design teams to ensure quotes reflect realistic timelines, materials, and production capabilities.
• Transition into an Inside Sales Representative role within 18–24 months, managing your own book of business and contributing to revenue growth.
What We’re Looking For:
• 3–5 years of experience in sales, customer service, or manufacturing within one or more of the following industries:
o Flexographic printing (labels, film, folding cartons)
o Industrial printing or screen-printed decals and labels
o Digitally printed label products
• Strong communication skills — comfortable and confident making cold calls, engaging prospects, and building long-term relationships.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills — accuracy is critical in this role.
• Working knowledge of quoting, mark-up adjustments, and cost-to-produce calculations.
• Strong math and technical aptitude, including the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment with competing deadlines.
Why Join Label-Aid Systems:
• A structured two-year growth track from customer service to inside sales.
• Comprehensive training in manufacturing, estimating, and sales processes.
• Competitive pay and benefits in a stable, family-owned company with nearly 50 years in business.
