What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Manager position at LABBB Collaborative?
LABBB Educational Collaborative (LABBB) is seeking to hire a Finance Manager to provide integral assistance and support to enhance and streamline business, financial, payroll and human resources processes and applications. The Finance Manager will report directly to the Director of Finance & Operations and will also assist with budget development, prepare financial reports and manage other critical business functions.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, public administration or relevant area. At least 5 years of working experience and a minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a business/finance office, preferably in a public school and/or public sector environment.
Experience in budget development, knowledge of finance/business management and general accounting principles and familiarity with payroll, human resources and accounts receivable/payable operations is preferred.

Additionally, the individual will have to demonstrate strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite and should have experience working with a financial application/accounting system, preferably School ERP or similar/related software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and assist with the implementation, training, maintenance and use of financial application/accounting system (School ERP), payroll system (Harpers) and other applications/systems related to the Business Office, including Human Resources, that are currently in use or may be introduced in the future.
- Work collaboratively with Business/Central Office, Human Resources, Payroll and other personnel to ensure all processes and procedures are in compliance with local jurisdiction and state agency policies and that all current business, payroll and accounting systems are employed to maximum efficiency and utilization. Set-up and oversee training of systems, as may be necessary.
- Assist with the development of the annual budget, including updating salaries, insurance costs and other employer costs. Attend all budget meetings, implement revenue and expenditure revisions to the draft spending document, along with staffing updates. Regularly monitor the approved budget throughout the fiscal year.
- Prepare Budget v. Actual and Cash Flow reports on a monthly basis and other financial reports, as may be necessary.
- Assist with the annual financial audit, including overseeing the preparation of accrued payroll and accrued expenses and performing quarterly payroll and billing audits.
- Assist with the annual actuary report.
- Manage monthly bank account reconciliations and insurance billing reconciliations, along with filing of reports with state pension systems.
- Assist in the implementation of policies, procedures and operational improvements related to Business/Central Office functions.
- Represent the Business Office by attending any and all meetings as required by the Executive Director and Director of Finance & Operations
- Perform any other duties and assume other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Executive Director and Director of Finance & Operations
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT/SALARY/WORK YEAR: This is a full-year, 12-month position with competitive benefits package and a salary range between $90,000 - $100,000 based on experience and qualifications. This position may require travel, from time to time, between LABBB Collaborative program locations.
