Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake processes to ensure a seamless check-in experience
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining steps and ensuring comfort throughout their visit
- Assist healthcare providers during clinical procedures, including medication administration, X-ray imaging, and basic life support interventions
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately by documenting patient histories, treatment plans, ICD coding, and other essential data
- Support medical administrative functions such as scheduling appointments, handling patient inquiries, and managing documentation for inpatient and outpatient care
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols in high-acuity settings like Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers
Experience
- Prior experience working in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with EHR systems and medical terminology is essential for accurate documentation and communication
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration enhances your ability to support diverse patient needs
- Experience working in specialized environments such as Geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or OR (Operating Room) is a plus
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced settings including urgent care centers or Level I Trauma Centers demonstrates adaptability and resilience
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications related to emergency medicine or hospital experience are advantageous
- Familiarity with X-ray procedures and inpatient care processes will enable you to contribute effectively across multiple departments
