Pizza Maker/Cashier/Food Runner

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, specifically with pizza. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious pizzas and other menu items while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Duties

• Take food orders at the Pizza Counter using handheld Toast device
• Run prepared food to upstairs Cafe and Balconies
• Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes and customer preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including cooking stations and equipment.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal food quality.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Help train new kitchen staff on pizza preparation techniques and food safety practices.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience

• Previous experience as a PIZZA MAKER is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and dietary requirements is beneficial.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

*Tips are pooled among all employees working that night ($5 - $15/hr in tips is included in listed payrate).

*La Vostra Pizza is located inside The Thunderbird Music Hall. We primarily serve those attending performances there.

*Perks include free admission to the Venue for almost any show.

*Every night is different, but for the most part, you can expect to work very hard from 'Doors' to 'Show Start' and then things slow down until intermission where you can again expect to work very hard for a bit.

*This job can truly be a lot of fun, but it is sometimes quite intense. The ability to work well with others, communicate, and hop over to another station when needed is essential.

*The job will typically be two days a week. For the most part, you will be done by 11:00pm. There are occasionally shows that go until 2:00am and everyone has to take their turn with those shows. Every effort is made to only schedule each employee one weekend night per week.

*Imo this would be an ideal job for someone that appreciates live music, formerly worked in the pizza industry and misses it, but doesn't want to return full-time. It would also be an excellent part-time job for a college student.
