Responsibilities:
Technical Setup and Operation:
- Set up and operate audiovisual equipment, including projectors, sound systems, microphones, lighting systems, and video conferencing tools, to deliver high-quality presentations and experiences.
- Ensure all technical elements are functioning properly and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during events.
- Coordinate and manage live streaming and recording of events when required.
- Collaborate with event organizers and clients to understand their audiovisual requirements and provide technical recommendations.
- Provide on-site technical support during events, including rehearsals, setup, and throughout the duration of the event to ensure smooth operation.
- Assist presenters and speakers with the setup and use of their own audiovisual equipment.
- Perform regular maintenance, inspections, and testing of audiovisual equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Identify and report any malfunctioning equipment or potential issues, and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest audiovisual technologies and trends to provide innovative solutions for enhancing event experiences.
- Troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and provide creative solutions to overcome challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, usage, and maintenance activities.
- Generate event-specific technical documentation and setup diagrams for reference and future use.
- Work closely with event planners, production teams, and other staff members to ensure a coordinated and successful event execution.
- Collaborate with other technical teams to integrate audiovisual setups seamlessly with IT infrastructure and other systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or relevant training preferred.
- Proven experience as an Audio Visual Technician or similar role, preferably in a conference center or event production setting.
- Proficiency in operating audiovisual equipment, including sound systems, projectors, lighting, and video conferencing tools.
- Strong understanding of audiovisual signal flow, cabling, and setup configurations.
- Familiarity with various software and applications used in audiovisual setups.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, presenters, and team members.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality event experiences.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and irregular hours based on event schedules.
- Physical capability to lift and transport audiovisual equipment as needed.
