We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dishwasher General Utility to join our dynamic food service team. Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans according to food safety sanitizing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by regularly cleaning work surfaces, floors, sinks, and storage areas
- Follow strict food safety management protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations and sanitation standards
- Support the catering and banquet teams by providing timely dishwashing and cleanup during large events or functions
- Handle manual lifting of heavy items such as large pots, crates of supplies, or bulk ingredients with proper technique to prevent injury
- Assist with general cleaning duties to uphold a hygienic environment for staff and guests - including removing refuse from kitchen, mopping, sweeping, and cleaning equipment.
- Caring for outdoor areas such as front entrance and rear exit, refuse area. This includes sweeping, mopping, clearing litter etc.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and basic food handling practices is advantageous
- Experience with dishwashing or kitchen cleaning tasks in a commercial setting is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout shifts
- Strong work ethic with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and teamwork in fast-paced environments
