Job Overview
La Vie En Couleurs is a newly established Paint & Sip studio, and we are seeking a part-time Art Instructor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about art and enjoys working in a fun, social, and interactive environment.
As an Art Instructor, you will lead guided, step-by-step painting classes for guests of all skill levels, creating a welcoming and engaging experience. You will play a key role in delivering high-energy classes, supporting private events, and contributing to the overall atmosphere of the studio. In addition to teaching, you will assist with setting up materials, cleaning up after sessions, and contributing creative ideas for weekly painting concepts.
Duties
- Design and deliver dynamic art lessons tailored to diverse age groups and skill levels, emphasizing both technical skills and creative exploration
- Prepare instructional materials, including project outlines, demonstrations, and resource lists to enhance student learning experiences
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages experimentation, self-expression, and constructive feedback
- Assess student progress regularly through critiques, assignments, and portfolio reviews to support ongoing development
- Organize exhibitions or showcase events to celebrate student achievements and inspire community engagement
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace equipped with necessary art supplies and safety protocols
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and participate in school or community art initiatives
Skills
- Proven experience in teaching or facilitating art classes, preferably within an educational setting or community programs
- Strong knowledge of various artistic mediums, techniques, and contemporary trends
- Excellent communication skills to motivate students and clearly convey artistic concepts
- Ability to adapt lessons to different age groups, skill levels, and learning styles
- Experience working with students in a university environment is highly desirable
