We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team Coverage for 2 clinic locations needed Oldsmar and Tampa.

The ideal candidate will possess clinical expertise in primary care, urgent care, geriatrics, pediatrics. This role involves providing comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, performing procedures such as suturing, IV infusion, catheterization, and utilizing advanced EMR/EHR systems . The Family Nurse Practitioner will deliver high-quality care in diverse settings including outpatient clinics, telehealth platforms, and post-acute care facilities. Experience desired but not required with medical documentation standards such as CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and familiarity with HIPAA regulations are essential. The position offers opportunities for professional growth in specialized fields like hospice & palliative medicine, infectious disease care, and neurogeriatrics.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments across all age groups including pediatrics, neonatal, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Diagnose illnesses and develop individualized treatment plans utilizing advanced clinical evaluation techniques.
- Administer medications and injections with proficiency in venipuncture, IV insertion, catheter care, and sterile processing techniques.
- Perform procedures such as suturing.
- Perform wellness visits and pap smears.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems to document patient encounters accurately while adhering to HIPAA standards.
- Coordinate discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Provide health coaching and education on family planning, nutrition, memory care strategies for dementia patients, Alzheimer's care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
- Engage in telehealth consultations utilizing telemedicine platforms to expand access to quality healthcare services.
- Stay current with medical terminology updates and maintain proficiency in diagnostic evaluation techniques including laboratory testing and medical imaging interpretation.
Qualifications
- Valid Family Nurse Practitioner license with current certification .
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems
- Skilled in performing advanced procedures including suturing and familiar with CPT coding & ICD coding (ICD-9/10).
- Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for patient safety.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams across inpatient and outpatient environments.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and medical records management.
- Experience working with diverse populations including seniors (geriatrics/dementia/dementia care), individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities.
