What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Assignment Aide - Special Ed position at La Vega Elementary?
PRIMARY PURPOSE / FUNCTION:
Assist the teacher in the preparation and management classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under the supervision of a certified teacher.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Educational Aide Certificate Meets Highly Qualified status with either an Associate’s degree or higher, 48 college hours or a certificate demonstrating state or local academic assessment.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to work well with children with disabilities
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Patient and calm demeanor with students and others
Experience:
Some experience working with children in an instructional setting
Experience with children and early grades 1st through 5th subject areas
Salary : $15 - $20
