Position Summary
La Salle University’s Natural Sciences Department has a need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach one or more laboratory sections of our freshmen-level BIO 161: Anatomy and Physiology I classes in the Fall 2026 semester. These courses are primarily taken by first-year Nursing and health sciences majors.
These lab sections are scheduled at the following times:

- Monday, 8:15 AM – 10:05 AM
- Monday 10:25 AM – 12:15 AM
- Thursday 2:00 PM – 3:50 PM
- Thursday 4:00 PM – 5:50 PM
Classes start on 8/31/26 and run through 12/11/26.

Essential Duties
- Teach assigned laboratory section(s).
- Provide guidance and support to students in Anatomy and Physiology experiments.
- Maintain safety in the laboratory and ensure a safety-focused environment in the lab.
- Provide timely grading and feedback to students.
- Collaborate with other Anatomy and Physiology laboratory instructors in carrying out laboratory exams.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD degree in a biology, anatomy, physiology or related field, OR
- Master’s or terminal degree in related degree in a field related to anatomy/physiology (MD, DO, DPt, etc) will also be considered.
- Knowledge and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience or desire for teaching biology and/or anatomy and physiology courses, particularly at the college-level.
- Experience working or teaching in a scientific laboratory.
- Knowledge or experience teaching anatomy and physiology laboratory courses.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours
- The job requires the ability to teach lab sections of A&P.
- The job requires movement around the classroom or laboratory, and possibly lifting heavy objects such as anatomy models or microscopes.
- It may be necessary for the position to teach an evening class of A&P.
