What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asst Athletics Administrator position at La Salle/ DLS Athletics?
Job Summary:
The Asst Athletic Administrator will assist the Athletics Administrator with the visionary leadership and strategic direction for the school’s athletic programs. This individual will assist in the coordination and supervision of all athletic coaches in addition to ensuring the program is aligned with the school’s mission, values, and academic goals.
Supervisory Duties:
The Asst. Athletic Administrator will assist in the overseeing of student athletes and coaches.
Duties/Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities
- This role will coordinate closely with the school’s Communications Department in the operation of athletics social media accounts and ensuring brand consistency across Athletic Teams.
- Serve as an onsite Supervisor for Athletic Games in the absence of the Athletic Administrator or Athletic Trainer.
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of various information systems including but not limited to:
- Team Rosters
- Coaching certifications
- End of Season Reports
- Varsity Letter Database
- Student Athlete Eligibility Lists
- Develop a schedule to track team events in coordination with coaches (senior nights, etc.).
- Support the Director of Auxiliary Programming with team store setup and accessibility.
- Attend all appropriate meetings associated with the school’s athletic program including but not limited to compliance meetings.
- Assist in the management and organization of facilities and outdoor storage spaces and other miscellaneous aspects within the athletic department.
- Manage all school athletic equipment (ex: Sports balls, jumping mats, etc.)
- Assist and attend Parental meetings, providing insight into program management and internal policies.
- All other responsibilities as assigned by School Leadership.
Annual Sports Banquet
- Organize and plan for the Annual Sports Banquet, acting as the primary for Banquet Day Operations.
- Order all student athlete awards
- Work closely with the communications team in developing the banquet program and distributing it.
- Provide detailed records for announcing award recipients (including name pronunciation and graduation year).
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and traits:
- Experience in an athletic or administrative role.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Suite Products such as Excel and Word.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Strong scheduling and time management skills.
- Social Media proficiency
- Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and AED (or a willingness to complete these certifications).
- Schedule Flexibility, this role will require being available to potentially work during evenings or on weekends based on the athletics schedule.
- Passion for Athletics and familiarity with La Salle Academy.
