This is considered an adjunct faculty position. Adjunct faculty are hired for specific teaching assignments and contracts are distributed on a semester-by-semester basis with no guarantee of future contracts. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct, manage, and evaluate student learning during pediatric clinical experiences at local healthcare facilities and the University's Clinical Simulation Center
- Facilitate the development of age-appropriate assessment skills, family-centered care approaches, and clinical reasoning in various pediatric settings
- Guide students in providing developmentally appropriate care to children from infancy through adolescence
- Assist students in integrating pediatric theory with clinical practice, specific to course learning outcomes
- Collaborate with course instructors on student learning activities, progress, and concerns
- Support students in developing cultural competence in pediatric care and effective communication with children and families
- Current Pennsylvania RN license and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required
- Minimum of 2 years pediatric nursing experience required
- Clinical teaching experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with pediatric simulation scenarios a plus
